The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me. Psalm 16:6

I'm baaaack!

Whew! I am back! We are moved in, we hosted a number of guests last week for the Shepherd's Conference here at Grace Community Church, and we had brunch for 24 on Saturday. This week I am trying to re-familiarize my children with school, trying to remember how to keep on top of a 5th, 4th, and 2nd grader, a preschooler, and a baby who LOVES the new stairs in our house, trying to budget with a new (read LARGE) mortgage bill

I Love Mom!!!!!

Heh. Heh. That's what happens in my house when you leave the computer for a while. You get mysterious, albeit encouraging, messages upon your return.

Anyhoo, it's been a tough week, trying to get everyone out of vacation mode.

Our new home is wonderful and such a blessing! We have met a lot of our neighbors and have learned that there are lots of kids in the neighborhood. Everyone has been gracious and welcoming. And every night we get to enjoy a sunset like this:

Ohhh, it's so beautiful here! Eventually those flags will be removed in the backyard. Hopefully soon. Our bonehead beagle keeps getting his leash wrapped around them.

Gustav celebrated his birthday last week. I gave him what he always wanted: a lava lamp!

The kids got him a new mystery game: Agatha Christie's Evil Under the Sun. He was thrilled.

It's great having such a fun Daddy in the house! We had fillet mignon and Bearnaise sauce for his birthday dinner, followed up by Waldorf Astoria red cake. YUM.

It was such a wonderful blessing to see so many of our dear CT friends who came out for the conference! We love you all so much and really do miss you. But God has been so gracious to give us new dear friends here. It is really such an amazing thing to be part of the family of God, with brothers and sisters everywhere!
